この度、本学で不定期に開催しております「現象数理セミナー」を、幹事の先生方＋講演者のご厚意により臨時開催する運びとなりました。
今年度よりマス・フォア・インダストリ研究所（IMI）に着任された髙瀬裕志さんに、波動方程式の逆問題についての話題をご提供いただきます。

講演タイトル：Inverse source problems for wave equations on Lorentzian manifolds
概要：We consider an inverse problem of the wave equation on a Lorentzian manifold, a type of semi-Riemannian manifold.
This kind of equation is obtained by linearizing the Einstein equation and is known as the equation satisfied by gravitational waves.
In this talk, we prove a global Lipschitz stability for the inverse source problem of determining a source term in the equation.
Sobolev spaces on manifolds, semigeodesic coordinates, and Carleman estimates, which are important tools in geometric analysis, will also be discussed.
